BODY
American made stock passenger automobile with factory steel top. No Camaros, Firebirds or Mustangs. Sunroofs and T-tops must be reinforced and enclosed. All bodies must be approved OEM. No spoilers, wings, skirts, air scoops or anything that alters the stock appearance. No aluminum hoods. Hood must be separate from fenders - no one-piece or tilt front ends. Gutting of hoods and trunk lids allowed. All hoods and trunks must be securely fastened and the back of hood must be sealed off from driver's compartment with metal. Maximum seven-inch metal sun visor may be added to top of windshield opening, only. Windshield posts & quarter posts must be stock and in stock location. All sharp edges, torn fenders and body panels to be repaired prior to next race. Must have a minimum of (4) windshield bars in front of driver. Must have screen in front of these (4) bars, must be securely fastened, no zip ties. Outside body width from center of door to center of door can be no wider than (72) inches. All glass, plastic, upholstery, rear seat, lights, mirrors, and chrome removed. Dash is not to extend more than 24 inches back from center of lower windshield opening. Dash must be flat except for cowl/firewall in front of driver. Cowl/firewall must be complete & unaltered. All holes in firewall & floor must be covered with metal. No other interior tin or covers. All doors must be secured shut (welded, chained, bolted, no rivets) the front inner wheel wells may be removed. Rear wheel wells may be removed to middle seam. Rub rails will be allowed. Maximum size of (1)” by (2)” and painted to match body. Plastic after market nose pieces allowed. No homemade nose pieces. Plastic after market tail pieces allowed. No homemade tail pieces. Tail lights & rear finish panel must be completely covered with solid metal, no holes. Complete stock floor pan mandatory. Rockers & kick panels must be fully enclosed with metal. Bolts must be flat head or countersink.

CHASSIS
Frame must match body. 109-inch wheelbase minimum for unibody cars, 107.5-inch minimum for full frame cars. Frames may be "X" braced. Rear of frame behind rear tires, from a point no further forward than one inch behind the factory seam, may be replaced in stock location with two-inch by three-inch steel tubing with .095-inch wall thickness. Factory seam must remain visible. Must replace the same length material removed. Unibodies must be tied - rear frame to front frame. No station wagons, convertibles, front-wheel drive, four-wheel drive or rear engines. Factory bumpers must be in stock location. Front and rear bumpers must be capped to fender the width of the bumper. No reinforcement of bumpers.

WEIGHT RULE
All cars must weigh a minimum of 3200 LBS with driver after the race. Weights must be fastened with a minimum qty of (2) half inch diameter bolts. No weights inside of driver compartment. Weights must be in trunk or engine compartment. Weights must be painted white with car number on them.  Any out of trunk weight must be clamp on.

ROLL CAGE
Must use .095 -inch tubing, at least 1.666-inch diameter for main cage and door bars. SIX post roll cage must be used, front and rear hoop welded to the OEM frame. Rear hoop must have "X" brace, front down-bars must be tied together. Must be minimum of 40 inches between front and rear down bars at top of door panel. No more than 41 inches from top center of windshield to front edge of rear hoop; no more than 13 inches to front edge of front hoop and top halo must be no less than 40 inches across, outside to outside. Rear kickers and front hoop must be minimum 1.25-inch tubing, with .083-inch wall thickness. Three horizontal door bars on both sides are mandatory. Minimum of four uprights tied from frame to top door bar on driver side, three on passenger side. May have two bars for protection in front of radiator, behind bumper, within confines of body, no wider than stock frame horns. May tie front horns together. All bars, front and rear, must be inside body. Must have minimum of one cross bar in top of halo of roll cage. Drivers side steel door plate mandatory, 18 gauge or .049-inch minimum thickness metal. Must be securely welded to outside of door bars on driver's side. Plate must cover the area from the top door bar to the rocker panel and from the rear down post to five inches in front of the seat. Must be visible for inspection. Front hoops allowed. Absolutely no square tubing or galvanized pipe allowed. Fuel cell protection bar may be used, mounted frame rail to frame rail, no higher than the fuel cell and inside the trunk area. Maximum 1.75-inch pipe. “Whiplash” bar required at ear level, fastened to roll cage. Rear of seat can not be any further back than (40) inches from top center windshield seam.

SUSPENSION
Must be original type suspension and match the frame. Steel springs only. Quick steer boxes allowed. No remote reservoirs on power steering pumps. All shocks must be mounted in stock location. Shocks may be claimed for $30 each. Refusal to sell shocks will result in a penalty. No spacers, lumber, or chains allowed. Front tubular upper A-frames optional. Non-adjustable and in stock location.

DRIVE TRAIN
Highly recommended: Steel or Aluminum plate, (1/4) inch thick, over the top of drive shaft tunnel and along driver’s side of drive shaft tunnel to help prevent leg injuries. Minimum 2.5-inch diameter steel driveshaft only and must be painted white. All forward and reverse gears must be operational. Transmission must be approved OEM automatic, with original bellhousing and functional stock torque converter, no after market converters, containing a minimum of three quarts of fluid, or approved OEM single disc-type clutch inside an explosion-proof steel bellhousing on manual transmission only. No Corvette or aluminum flywheels. Automatic must have an approved scattershield (may be constructed of quarter-inch by three-inch steel, 270 degrees around flexplate or flywheel. Torque converter must have a minimum 1/8-inch plug. Steel axles only. Rear end may be welded or mini spool, no full spools. No floater rear ends. Rear suspension must match frame. No electronic or mechanical traction control devices allowed. No Detroit lockers. Nine inch Ford rear-end required. Must be mounted like stock rear end for that make and model. Transmission coolers allowed, must be mounted in engine compartment.  Rear springs mounted on center of rear housing.  No extra holes allowed on rear end mounts.

WHEELS & TIRES
American Racer G-60 or Hoosier G-60 will be allowed. Tires must be inside body. No mud tires, no racing tires (except G-60) or fancy, exotic, trick gumball tires allowed. No softening, conditioning, siping or grooving allowed. No racing wheels or mag wheels allowed. Steel spoke wheels allowed. Maximum eight-inch wheels. Beadlock on right rear optional. Reinforcing of wheels recommended. One inch lug nuts required.

BRAKES
Approved OEM brakes on all four wheels must work. No OEM Antilock Brake Systems.  After market brake pedal/master cylinder assemblies allowed. No brake shut-off or bias allowed. No plastic brake lines. Rear OEM disc brakes are optional.

BATTERY
(1) 12-volt battery only, must be enclosed in a marine-type case, fully covered and securely mounted to frame or roll cage in a metal only in trunk area.

FUEL
Pump gas or Ethanol blend fuel recommended. No Methanol. Racing fuel cell required, no boat or stock automotive fuel tanks. Must be securely fastened inside trunk of car. Fuel cell must be mounted on a 1/8” flat steel plate that is welded from frame rail to frame rail totally covering the bottom of the fuel cell. Must be attached with (2) steel straps mounted from the bottom of the fuel cell to the top of fuel cell. Firewall must be between driver and fuel cell. All cell mounts must be steel, attached to frame/cage. No adjustable fuel cell mounts. Fuel cell must be in a steel container. Fuel cell vents must have check valves Fuel lines through driver compartment must be in metal pipe or metal conduit. No fuel filters in driver's compartment.

ELECTRONICS
No transmitting or listening devices allowed in car. No electronic monitoring computer devices capable of storing or transmitting information except tach allowed on cars. No digital gauges allowed on car. No ignition control boxes allowed, OEM ignition only. No electronic traction control devices allowed. The RACEceiver Elite 1600 will be mandatory. Channel must be 454.000 only.

ENGINES (BLOCK, CYLINDER HEADS, DRIVE TRAIN)
9.5 to 1 maximum compression as checked with the whistler. GM & Ford engines 360 cubic inch max. Chrysler engines 370 cubic inch max. Engines must appear strictly stock for that make and model, in stock location and in the original mounts. No 400 or larger cubic inch parts allowed. Stroke must match block. Flat top pistons only. Cast iron cylinder heads only. No angle milling of cylinder heads allowed. Cylinder heads must be unaltered approved OEM. No porting or polishing or alterations of any kind. Clean up allowed. GM heads must be 360 C.I. only and 76cc or larger. Approved steel head numbers for GM engines are – 014, 195, 267, 330, 336, 339, 388, 393, 441, 445, 454, 487, 493, 545, 598, 624, 642, 709, 799, 813, 862, 881, 882, 920, 991, 993, 997. Ford engines, no after market or SVO heads. Chrysler engines, no after market or W2 heads. No full roller or roller tip rocker arms. No roller lifters. No stud girdles. Starter must bolt in stock location. No gear drives.

ENGINES (INTAKE, CARB, EXHAUST, PUMPS)
Must have approved OEM cast iron two barrel intake manifold, no high rise manifolds allowed. Low profile dual plane aluminum intake may use a two barrel spacer on dual plane aluminum intake.  No porting or polishing or alterations of any kind to intake manifold. All engines must run a stock two barrel carburetor, Rochester on GM, Motorcraft or Holley on Ford. No Holley’s on GM. May remove choke, bead blasting allowed but no other alterations allowed. (NOTE: Carburetor may be claimed for $50.) Conventional air cleaner housings only. No top flow air cleaner housings. No cold air boxes or air cleaner duct work allowed. Headers are allowed. No 180 degree headers. Headers must extend to front door. No side discharge. Mufflers are recommended. No electric fuel pumps allowed. Cast or Aluminum stock type water pumps allowed. Steel or aluminum pulleys allowed. Any overflow tubes are to be directed to the ground, between frame rails. Minimum two-core approved steel or aluminum radiator allowed. Accumulators and Accusumps must be mounted under the hood. All cars must have the capability of starting without being pushed or pulled at the beginning of the night. All cars must join the lineup on demand, unaided, or go to the rear of that race. Unaltered USRA restrictor plate with (1-3/8) inch throttle bores maximum will be implemented if needed. Maximum of (3) stock carburetor gaskets may be used. No spacers allowed. GM restrictor plates can be purchased from USRA or Performance One.  Ford and Mopar plates may be manufactured by car owner, but must be approved and certified by USRA or track official before competing. No engine claim and no cylinder head claim.

NUMBERS
All cars must be numbered with large, legible numbers on both sides, top and rear panel. Numbers on side of car must be at least (4) inches wide and (20) inches high. Numbers on top must be at least (4) inches wide and (30) inches high.

SAFETY
Five point safety belts, sub belt and shoulder harness required. (Recommended not to be more than two years old) SFI approved full fire suit, fire retardant neck brace and fire retardant gloves required, shoes recommended. Helmets must be Snell SA95, Snell 2000 or Snell 2005. Helmet must be worn at all times car is on the track and must accompany vehicle at time of inspection. Roll bar padding required in driver compartment. Fire retardant padding recommended. Belts must be mounted to cage. Window net required. Window net to be mounted so latch is at top front of driver side window. Arm restraints optional. Kill switch required within easy reach of driver and must be clearly marked "OFF" and "ON". 360-degree driveshaft loop is required and must be constructed of at least quarter-inch by two-inch steel, or one-inch tubing, and should be mounted six inches back from front U-joint. All cars must have a high-back aluminum racing seat fastened to roll cage, NOT bolted to the floor board. Front window screen required in driver’s area. Top of seat must be fastened to prevent from bending backwards.
