Chad Meyer charged from the fourth row to take the lead on lap three and ran away with the sprint car feature win Friday night at Rapid Speedway. Meyer took the checkered flag half a straightaway’s length ahead of Gordy Vogelaar to claim his first feature win of the year. Third went to early leader Tom Platt followed by Brian Baker and Bill Fredin. Todd Wessels, a former sprint car champion at the track, marked his first night back in racing in a number of years with an eighth place finish.

Mark Henry backed up his first feature win ever one week ago by being the first to the checkered flag for the second week in a row in the late model stock car feature. Henry passed David Kruger on lap four and was never seriously challenged, taking the win by two car lengths. After being passed on the final lap by Mark DeBoer, Pat Connell fought back to edge DeBoer for the runner-up spot, followed by Chad Overgaard and Dale Furby.

Marty Barber took the lead on lap three and went on to win his first sportsmen feature of the year. Barber was dogged nearly the entire race by Brad Klaassen, who settled for second ahead of Brad Haas and Billy Sprock.

Marlo DeJager scored his first hobby stock feature win of the year, becoming the seventh different driver in as many nights of racing to win a feature in the highly competitive class. Craig Smith was second followed by Mark Vanden Top and Shawn Jurrens.
