Ingle uses Lady Luck to Take LCS Win

Once again, it looked as if Doug Martens was going to take the Lake County Speedway NMRA 360 Sprint feature, but again, Martens lost the lead spot late in the race. Martens took the lead from the pole position as the green flag waved over the speedway. Kim Muntefering was following in a close second until the #31m slid extremely sideways coming off turn two. Muntefering dropped from second to fourth as Kevin Ingle and Kevin Droll used the opportunity to gain positions. Caution waved over the speedway as Droll and Muntefering tangled and spun with six down. Defending point champion, Kory Rawstern, put the #4k into the infield after breaking and spinning on the restart. During the caution period, Martens pulled the Fort Randall Casino car to the infield with a flat right rear tire. By pulling into the pits, Martens relinquished the lead and had to restart from the rear. Kevin Ingle inherited the lead and led the remaining nine laps of the event to take the victory. Dusty Ballenger finished second; Randy Droescher came home third. Justin Saathoff and Muntefering rounded out the top five. Martens and Gary Johnson won the heat races.
Rob Anderson led every lap of the NMRA Late Model Stock Car main event to score his first victory of the season. Curt Bauman and Jim Peterson brought out the first caution of the 15-lap event as Bauman looped his car in turn three and Peterson found the wall with his car. During the caution laps, Matt Steuerwald, who was running strongly in second, had to pull his car to the infield and retired for the evening due to radiator problems. Another caution waved over the high-banked 3/8-mile speedway as Lee Schlumbohm suffered an engine failure. The caution allowed JJ Zebell, Scott Freet, Don Bickett, Brad Wollman and the rest of the field to regroup behind Anderson. Bickett and Freet traded the third and fourth positions on lap ten. Wollman also passed Freet on lap 11. Anderson took the win followed by Zebell. Wollman made a last lap pass around Bickett to take third. Freet finished fifth behind Bickett. Anderson and Steuerwald claimed victories in the heat races.
Jeff Ellimgson put the Loyal Electric #ME 2 into the point position as the green dropped on the Sportsmen main event and drove the car to victory lane. Richard Holbrook was running in a strong fourth place but had to change a tire at the halfway point of the 12-lap affair. Rick Goth came from the twelfth starting position the finish second. Rick Vander Weide, who was victim of Goth's last lap pass, finished third. Chuck Harming came to the finish in fourth and Chris Ellingson fifth. Harming, Jeff Ellingson and Vander Weide won the heat races. Russ Peterson took the win in the B feature.
Justin Lebahn took the lead of the NMRA Hobby Stock feature on the second lap and held on to claim his first ever win. Mike Kiggins came from ninth to second. Jeff Beck finished third. Justin Selken crossed the finish line in fourth. Dean Dunkelberger, who had been involved in several instances throughout the evening, rounded out the top five. Beck, Lebahn and Selken won the heat races. Andy Ullom went into the evening with the point lead and won the B feature.
Olson and Gluhm took the always-exciting Deuces Wild main event win. The teams of Mulder, Jensen, Claussen, and Harmon took top five honors. Team Mulder, Team Claussen and Team Foster won the heat races. Team Nielson won the first B feature and Team Prussman won the second.
